Proposed US Census Question Results in More Tortured Logic by Progressives
The decennial US Census, which serves numerous purposes for the benefit of US citizens, may add a question to the 2020 version that seeks to determine whether those filling out the census are, in fact, actual, legal US residents. Progressives have determined that the potential question is xenophobic, exclusive, and unconstitutional. Let me get this straight. According to Progressives, then, the Census is conducted in order to count US citizens but you need not prove you are a US citizen to be included in the Census. I see where they’re going with this! OK, so the right to vote is limited to US citizens as well, but no one should have to prove US citizenship in order to vote. Am I right? Finally, under the auspices of Obamacare, now stay with me here, “the government requires every citizen to prove they are insured… but, again, not everyone must prove they are a citizen. So, any of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens” (anonymous, pissed-off, actual US citizen). There now, doesn’t that all makes perfect progressive sense?
